Lauren Oberon, RMT

Lauren provides comprehensive treatments backed by research and geared towards outcomes; utilizing a wide range of techniques, including acupuncture, cupping and hot stone therapy, she selects from a range of options: relaxation-focused treatments to help regulate the nervous system, to deep tissue work on fascial adhesions and trigger points, or some combination thereof. She wants to find what works best to problem solve what is nagging your body.
Lauren received her massage therapy diploma from Centennial College in Toronto, her acupuncture certification from McMaster University. She also holds a BA in Anthropology from Trent University, emphasizing in physical and medical anthropology making her confident treating people with many different medical conditions and cultural backgrounds. She loves to build a relationship with clients to design a treatment that is safe, effective and satisfying, striving to achieve reasonable wellness goals for a healthier version of one’s self.
A chronic pain warrior, she knows first-hand the struggle to find solutions that work for pain and is excited to work with other people that have chronic pain, helping to find techniques and tools that can help them manage their discomfort both short-term and long-term. Aside from her passion to help those with chronic pain, she is interested in finding pain relief and management of symptoms for people with disabilities. Her passion as a massage therapist is based around encouraging well-being and self-care for all, throughout the human lifetime.
